Cancellation Policy

Payment Policy Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment (MAKE) MAKE Strength and Fitness Overview This Payment Policy outlines the expectations, procedures, and terms for all tuition, memberships, programs, and services offered by Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment (MAKE) and MAKE Strength and Fitness. Our goal is to maintain transparency, consistency, and fairness while ensuring the sustainability of our programs. Membership & Tuition Payments All memberships and program tuitions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly or monthly depending on enrollment agreement). Payments are due on the agreed billing date outlined at the time of registration. A valid payment method (credit/debit card or bank draft) must be kept on file for all active members. Accepted Forms of Payment Credit/Debit Cards ACH / Bank Draft Cash (in-person only) Check (payable to MAKE; subject to approval) Late Payments Payments not received within 5 days of the due date may incur a late fee of $10–$25. Accounts more than 10 days past due may result in suspension of services, including classes, training sessions, or facility access. Continued non-payment may lead to cancellation of membership and possible collections action if unresolved. Returned Payments A $25 returned payment fee will be charged for any declined transactions (NSF, expired cards, etc.). Members are responsible for updating payment information promptly to avoid service interruption. Cancellation Policy A written notice of 14 days is required to cancel any membership or program. Cancellations must be submitted via email or in person. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Any scheduled payments within the 14-day notice period will still be processed. Refund Policy Payments for tuition, memberships, and services are non-refundable once processed. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis for medical emergencies or extenuating circumstances, at management discretion. Special events, seminars, and camps may have separate refund policies stated at registration. Holds & Freezes Memberships may be placed on hold for medical reasons or extended travel with prior approval. Holds must be requested in writing at least 7 days in advance. A minimum and maximum hold period may apply (typically 2–8 weeks). Billing may be paused or adjusted depending on the situation. Promotions & Discounts Promotional rates, discounts, or scholarships must be approved and documented at the time of enrollment.
