The mission of the Music Academy of Karate and Empowerment (M.A.K.E.) Strength and Fitness Center is to empower individuals through strength training, fitness, and holistic health practices—supporting each person in becoming their healthiest, strongest, and most balanced self.

Kettlebell Training
Kettlebell training at M.A.K.E. Strength & Fitness is all about building real-world strength you can feel in everyday life. Using the proven StrongFirst Hardstyle approach — taught to us directly by Pavel Tsatsouline — we focus on simple, powerful movements that improve mobility, endurance, and resilience.
You don’t need to be an athlete to get started. Our coaches break down each lift step by step, making sure you train safely and effectively. Whether your goal is to gain strength, move better, or just feel more energized, kettlebells are a versatile tool that can help you get there.

Barbell Lifting
Barbell training is one of the most effective ways to build lasting strength — and at M.A.K.E., we make sure you do it right. Our StrongFirst-trained coaches emphasize proper technique and safety first, so you can lift with confidence and avoid the injuries that often come from going it alone.
Whether you’re learning the basics of the squat and deadlift or refining your form to move more weight, we’ll guide you step by step. With clear instruction and progressive programming, you’ll not only get stronger but also feel more capable in and out of the gym.

Open Gym Access
With our Open Gym access, you’ll have the freedom to use our kettlebells, barbells, cardio equipment, and training space on your own schedule. It’s the perfect option if you like to follow a personal plan or just want extra time to practice the skills you’ve learned in class.
Even when you’re training solo, you’re never really on your own. Our coaches are available during staffed hours to answer questions, check your form, or offer a quick tip when you need it. Open Gym gives you the flexibility to train your way while still being supported by a community that cares about your progress.

Small Group Classes
Our Small Group Classes bring the energy of community and the attention of a coach-led session. With options like kettlebell training and yoga, you’ll get the perfect balance of strength and mobility in a supportive setting.
Classes are intentionally kept small so your coach can focus on you — offering corrections, encouragement, and progressions that match your level. Whether you’re here to push harder or simply move with more confidence, you’ll find motivation and accountability that’s hard to match on your own.

Private Training
Sometimes the fastest way forward is having a coach focused only on you. With one-on-one personal training at M.A.K.E., your workouts are tailored to your specific goals — whether that’s gaining strength, improving mobility, or simply building a routine that sticks.
